Love and Other Secrets by Christina Mandelski

Alex Koviak or as his lacrosse buddies call him "Kov" appears to have everything. He is popular, rich, but he has no idea what he wants to do with his life once he graduates high school. He never thought he would met his challenge at the express check out lane at Publix. Bailey pushes him to be a better man. Challenges him at every turn. But no one knows they are friends. She visits his house after work to watch movies and eat dinner together. It is the best part of his entire day. But at school, he is the popular super jock and she is the nerdy A/V girl who is trying to win a film scholarship to NYU.

Bailey enjoys her little moments with Alex even if he has an overly inflated ego that Bailey enjoys deflating. Bailey is a planner. She has a goals board with the next five years of her life planned out. She encourages Alex to make plans for his future even when he is sabotaging himself by throwing large parties at his house for his parents' attention.  His parents love Bailey since she is such a positive influence on their son. Bailey is uncomfortable around them and Alex's lifestyle since their family lives in a McMansion complete with a ballroom and a room filled with formal dresses from Alex's grandmother.

Their relationship is put to the test when Bailey asks Alex for help with a promposal for her film documentary about Prom traditions. She wants Alex's help since he is constantly being promposed to in very elaborate ways. Ironically, Alex has never needed nor wanted to prompose ...until this year. He had planned out how he was going to ask Bailey to the prom. But not in an elaborate promposal way since that is not something Bailey would want. But yet she is asking him to help her do just that for Tex--another lacrosse player. Is she asking him for the film documentary or for a long term boyfriend? Alex has a reputation for being a player. Bailey doesn't deserve someone like that which is why Alex is re-thinking everything about his life.

How can Alex help plan her promposal while also sabotaging it? Can he really sabotage Bailey's dream? If she follows through with the promposal where does that leave him?

I Will Always Find You (Jefe Cartel Book 1) by Willow Sanders

I loved this novel so much that I bought the next book in the series Found. The first few chapters...I wasn't sure if I would even like this book let alone love it. It does have a bit of a slow start. A few things could be slightly more condensed but I understand why Sanders included the build up of so many of the character even a few that could have been omitted such as Janet and Peter. I was constantly trying to fit the puzzle together between Ben and Camille since the chapters would switch between their point of view which was incredibly beneficial once their arcs crossed over. Ok...now for the overview of the novel and the characters which I completely love even if the novel does end on a cliffhanger. If you are one of those people who despise cliffhangers either buy Found  or skip this book. Although, I recommend buying Found, both novels are well worth the money.

Camille works in the communications division of the Kansas City Chiefs football team. She works long hours especially during the football season, but Camille or Cammie is a bit of a loner. She was raised to not depend on other or to make new friends. She was taught those things because her mother was always moving them around the country. Cammie never thought much about any of these traits until after two very different attacks against her. The first was when her apartment was robbed and two months later, when she was attacked and nearly kidnapped. This is how she met the local Kansas City Police officer Peter Parker who she nicknamed Spiderman and her home health nurse Janet. The attack left Cammie with numerous health issues since she was hit at the back of her brain stem.

Agent Benjamin Vaughn has been chasing down the Jefe Cartel for the last six years of his career in the DEA. He has already taken down the Mercado cartel a direct competitor for Jefe. Vaughn has already lost his best friend to the cartel--he won't lose anything else. After he tracks down and puts Jefe behind bars--he's done. A nice quiet ranch in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. Ben didn't expect to be sent to Kansas City. Why in the world would the Jefe cartel be there? It is land locked most cartels are along large port cities. He goes where the leads and the DEA sends him. He is working with the KCPD, CIA, FBI, and Homeland to capture Jefe. Vaughn is missing a piece to the puzzle. Why does his beautiful neighbor fall into the pattern of criminal activity within the Jefe organization. What does Jefe want from Cammie? More importantly, why can't Ben stay away from her?

Cover Reveal!!! Love Sincerely Yours Sara Ney & Meghan Quinn

Release Date: October 9

Blurb:

Dear Mister...**strike out** no, too formal.
Hey there sweet cheeks *strike out* no, too forward.

To whom it may concern,
Full disclosure; before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to
intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer—because it was free.

I think it’s important to be open and honest with your co-workers, don’t you?
So here I am, being honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.
I like you so much it’s clouding my judgment and making me do things I never would sober. Like write this

letter.

I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for.
Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. Your
bark is worse then your bite, and you don’t scare me. The fact is, I’d love that bite of yours to nip at my bare
skin while we’re both wearing nothing but sheets.
For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.
And as long as we're being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes
me want to loosen your tie and show you who’s boss.
Love,
Sincerely,
Yours.

Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Chance Encounters Scarlett Hopper Book Review

Book 2 of the Encounters Series--

I will definitely buy the first book in this series and the remainder of the Encounters Series.

Winona Clark has been traveling the world for the past four years with James a fellow traveler. She hasn't heard from her best friend since she was 16--Eleanor called Winona back home. Eleanor left Winona heartbroken, but she was able to put herself back together with the help of her first love Nick. Nick like Eleanor left Winona, but Nick shattered Winona's heart. Everywhere she went reminded her of Nick and their love, thus she left for a country wide road trip where she met James. The two of them traveled around the world together for four years. Winona's love of photography continued even after she came back for Eleanor and her cousin Vivian. A few days after Winona returns Eleanor and Vivian invite Winona and James to a party at Eleanor and Vivian's boyfriends' house (the boyfriends have five roommates).

Nick Wilder has been taking care of his little brother Max and his father since his mother passed away shortly after Nick turned 18. Nick's father talked Nick into spending a year with his aunt before going to college. Nick wouldn't never imagined that he would find the love of his life there or that he would have to leave her in order to take care of his little brother due to his father's heavy drinking. Nick's father didn't drink before his mother's death. His father is beside himself with grief and depression after his beloved wife dies. Nick certainly never imagined that the one woman who has haunted him and still holds his heart would be standing in his living room with his roommates' girlfriends. Or that she would slap him.

Winona hates that Nick is in the circle of friends with Eleanor and Viv. If she wants to spend time with her oldest and closest friends she has to figure out a way to tolerate the man she loathes, loves, hates--ugh..she is so confused about what she feels for Nick. The more time goes by...the more she remembers and sees her Nick under his tough exterior. The more she is falling for him ...again. But she holds a secret that may obliterate the new relationship they are building together. She is scared to tell him even after he reveals that someone she loves has hidden truths from her about their previous relationship.

Can the two of them rebuild their love or will their secrets and past further destroy them?
